A new electric vehicle charging bay has been installed at the Palais theatre and is available for use 24 hours per day. This service is currently offered on a no fee basis to users.

November 2017 saw a new experience for the Palais. A flower master class! This resulted in some amazing floral sculptures from attendees.
The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra brass band played to an appreciative crowd at the Franklin Palais on Thursday, 9 November, 2017 and the night was a great success for all involved.
The Palais Management Committee meet the 2nd Tuesday monthly. Community are welcome to observe or address the committee (with notice). Please use the General Enquiry Form to notify the PMC of your intent.
The Palais has put together a package that can be used by funeral directors or directly by the community. This includes;
- Hall hire
- Use of the cinema projector (technical assistance provided if required).
- Use of the sound system
